The Story
Ronald McDonald House Charities® South Central Ontario is delighted to announce the remarkable $2 million gift from the Tucker Family Trust, generously contributed by Terry and Myrna Tucker. This historic commitment stands as the largest gift in the charity’s 30-year history, underlining the Tuckers’ enduring dedication to supporting families in their time of need.
The gift was officially unveiled and celebrated on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton, Ontario. The event featured light refreshments, the presentation of a framed photo of the House to the Tucker family, and the unveiling of a commemorative plaque as a testament to the family’s enduring commitment to keeping families close.
Terry Tucker, owner of FloChem and a respected business leader from Guelph, has been a steadfast supporter of his community. His remarkable journey from a foundry in the Ottawa Valley to assuming sole ownership of FloChem in 2006 showcases the power of hard work and dedication. FloChem, a chemical distribution company, has played a crucial role in Terry’s philanthropic journey.
